A Lovely W’DANK Blogger Luncheon with The Travel Junkie

Thetraveljunkie.org – I had the pleasure of attending and speaking at Nutrifood W’Dank Blogger Luncheon – explore the warmth of Indonesia through exotic culinary with The Travel Junkie at the Plataran Dharmawangsa in South Jakarta, with the actual gathering.

The venue was wonderfully decorated. I walked around and I felt like I was in a Sundanese-classic movie set or a period play…

The event was a W’Dank Bajigur tasting, combined with my ‘explore the warmth of Indonesia’ slides, and special lunch.

It was one of our best bajigur tasting experience!

Without further ado, here are my slides!

W’Dank (wedang) is a type of Indonesian beverages. And, Nutrisari W’dank Bajigur – powder instant drink, true of Indonesia traditional drink.

Currently existing variants ginger Sari (Indonesian traditional drink), Bajigur (West Java traditional drink), Sarabba (Makassar traditional drink) and Pletok ala Betawi (Jakarta traditional drink).

The main ingredients of bajigur are coconut milk and Aren sugar; usually to add taste, a small amount of ginger and a small pinch of salt. Traditionally fragrant pandan leaves were added.

It was a unique heritage beverages tasting experience. The Travel Junkie’s philosophy is heritage meets modern for the Indonesian lifestyle. And here are my video:

Our Appetizer – Lumpia vegetable steam, salad mango and kimlo.

Main courseBihun rebus, oseng buncis, sayur tujuh rupa, rendang batu sangkar, gurame bakar and tahu telor petis.

And our dessertes cendol and tape bakar. Errr… YUM!

I had a really lovely time, I enjoy the W’Dank Bajigur tasting and lunch, we had lots of blogging chat, and a bit of tourism and exotic culinary. In the end the event raised photos for such a great cause!

Thank you for having me!
