Thetraveljunkie.org – We woke up bright and early, we headed over to Feast @ East the Buffet Restaurant for breakfast at the Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy. It was very posh, relaxing and the food was absolutely lovely. I ate so much dim sum. There was laksa too. It was so nice to sit around on beautiful chairs, nibble on small portions of food, drink amazing teas, talk to my bojo.
The restaurant was decorated with traditional peranakan artefacts and we were enthralled by the display of fine vintage kabayas and delicately beaded slippers. We were equally delighted to meet Aunty Jane, a stylish woman in her eighties there as culinary advisor for the hotel’s festival.
Then. After all that sitting and eating, we decided we needed a heritage walk around Katong. Our weekend in Katong certainly showed a side of Singapore I can’t wait to revisit.
If ever you find yourself in Singapore and wanting a place to stay and wander, you should definitely check out Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy website for room availabilities!
