Bazaar Restaurant, QT Gold Coast

the bazaar colours. | taken by Sony NEX-7 – Eeeek I am so excited to tell you all about this update. This place is just gorgeous.

Located upstairs in QT Gold Coast Hotel. I’m not a buffet kind of person but I really enjoyed Bazaar.

Bazaar very cool buffet has a seafood station to rival any good fish & chippery, an Asian chef who steams up dumplings to order, a BBQ guy who grills steaks to order, a pasta station, pizza, charcuterie, salads, the list goes on and on.

For me it contains mostly ‘known’ foods rather than the ‘unknown and unfamiliar’ from the cuisines of Asia, the Mediterranean, Morocco and the Middle East. It’s a sampling of food from cultures familiar to the Western world, with little extreme adventure for the seasoned diner.

The Asian corner features a tower of bamboo baskets filled with dim sum and a feature display of Duck san choy bau, a choose your own seafood station shows a bounty of Australian crustaceans. If kerupuk (Indonesian traditional crackers) is in your mind, this place for you haha!

A wood-fired pizza can be made to order, to one side, steaming beef cheek awaits in a rich ragout at the BBQ, your steak is grilled to order with organic salads to accompany.

And, before you finish, there’s an abundance of desserts as well as an ice cream stand with vintage lollies.

Overall, the place was family-frendly, relaxed in rushed and very busy. But, I really enjoyed the casual and modern atmosphere.

The table had a romantic feel to it, with the candle and wine glasses.

It is definitely worth a visit. Foodies would love this place.
