Thetraveljunkie.org – I woke up at 3.30am in Gili Trawangan Island. I turned my alarm off and sat up in bed. I blinked and saw that it was pitch black outside. The street lights were still on. The stars were still out in the sky. I got up and changed into my walking gear, in the dark. I grabbed my baggage, my jacket and snuck out of the hotel. I ate my casual breakfast at the dock, but in the dark.
And this is where my friends and I went to Bali and to catch our flights to Surabaya and Banyuwangi for an Ijen Crater party.
Enjoying a speedboat ride and taking in all the different colours in the early morning sky is totally priceless. Big wave making my shoes wet. Cold air making my cheeks red. Surrounded by thousands of fish in the ocean… And all inspired to love and live each day a little bit better.
