Make Memories with the Sensoji Temple Kaminarimon Gate, Asakusa – Japan – The oldest temple in Tokyo said to have been built in 628. Most of the Sensoji temple was destroyed during Allied bombing raids in 1945.

In a local example of corporate philanthropy, the main Kaminarimon Gate – famous for its giant red lantern – was actually restored in 1960 through a donation from Konosuke Matsushita (Panasonic’s founder).

A big thank you Japan National Tourism Organization, Garuda Indonesia, my readers, for following and supporting me on this journey!
