THE TRAVEL JUNKIE AT SWISS-BELINN SARIPETOJO, SOLO

Thetraveljunkie.org – I have visited Solo for a very quick trip, and I stayed at the Swiss-Belinn Saripetojo, Solo. This trip was planned with very short notice – we had a friends birthday party over the weekend. I had never stayed at a Swiss-Belinn before – and must confess, I was quite curious and was very surprised. Here is our stay went.

Was there any pre-arrival communication by the hotel with myself via email or social media? Well well well, this hotel (and its marketing team) know The Travel Junkie via social media channels. I had a open invite to the hotel for months but had no plans to visit the city, and when they materialised, I was delighted to accept their invitation.

Has the hotel tried to gather any personal information (e.g. preferences) prior to my stay? I didn’t ask for anything, as I had no special needs.

Arrival

The wow factor! What was the hotel decor style? We had no trouble finding the hotel. We had an excellent (efficient and friendly) welcome by the doorman, who escorted us to the check-in area and took care of our luggage.

How quick and efficient was the hotel check-in? Brilliant.

Did I get an upgrade from my confirmed pre-booked room type? Well… I kind of knew I was getting a suite a couple of days before check-in and was very excited.

Did I feel genuinely welcomed by the hotel staff? 100% and this lasted throughout the stay. The staff was incredible to me, everyone that was in the hotel. Super friendly and helpful. We really felt like home.

Wifi – was I told anything about it? Was there a charge? Of course. And no charge.

Room Experience

First impressions – decor, size and wow factor? Our room was beautiful. Actually – the hotel decor was beautiful. Very understated, beautifully designed. I loved our room from the moment we walked in.

The bed was excellent and very commfortable. I love the bed linen and the pillows. Cannot fault it in any way.

Welcome amenity – we had a bowl of fruit and water.

There was a tea and coffee making facilities, which I did not use.

Free bottled water? Of course and changed daily.

Power sockets in useful places – we have more and more devices and we know where we want them! By the bed, by the working area? Yes indeed – by the side of each bed, we had sockets. No problem at all.

The bathroom was actually not small at all – and very nice.

Towels – yes, please! How many and how soft and lovely? No problem here.

Toiletries – own brand, super brand, baby ones or proper ones? I shall find out! The toiletries were from own brand, which are nice.

Amenity kit – We had everything we needed.

Hairdryer – is it a human one, or just something stuck to a wall that only makes noise? I did not use it on this occasion, but located the hairdryer which looked proper.

General Thoughts:

How good and reliable was the wifi? Excellent and no issues during our stay.

Would I recommend it to my best friend? Without a doubt.

Would I stay again? Absolutely. I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel – it was beautiful, the service was excellent and I felt very comfortable. I got to spend a lot of time there.

Have you visited this hotel? What were your thoughts?
