Waerebo Waterfalls

Thetraveljunkie.org – It is fantastic how We can be walking along a quiet path in a Manggarai forest… then suddenly I look over and there’s a beautiful Waerebo Waterfalls! And it’s, you know, doing it’s thing, as it has been for the last hundred years or so. There’s so much beauty everywhere.

Sometimes there was just NO path and no obvious place to step. This was at the base of a waterfall.

Where can I put my foot? Is it slippery? What can I hold on to? I basically had to crawl across like an drunken lizard.

Mohe Waerebo! (Long Live Waerebo).

Just a note, if you are thinking of coming please leave no trash behind. And take with only memories, photos and videos.

Stay tuned for our adventures in the Waerebo.
