Thetraveljunkie.org – We love summer in Sweden. Blessed with 11,500km (over 7,000 miles) of coastline (not including the islands) and around 100,000 lakes, it’s little wonder the Swedes love to nature. Sweden has 29 national parks and more than half of the country is covered in forest, so the countryside is a huge part of life. When we stayed at Bredängs Vandrarhem in Stockholm that blend in with nature.
A journey of a thousand miles always begins with a single step. -Swedish proverb.
We took a stroll along a lake, enjoyed shell-seeking, casting stones into the water and saw ships with the sunset as background. We love the long, bright summer night in here. It’s a thousand light years from any place we’ve ever seen.

Since you’re here…
… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading the Travel Junkie than ever but advertising revenues across the blog are falling fast. And unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our blogsm as open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. The Travel Junkie’s independent, travel blogsm takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.
If everyone who reads our blog posting, who likes it, helps to support it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as £1, you can support The Travel Junkie – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
