Thetraveljunkie.org – When I stayed in Courtyard by Marriott Bali Nusa Dua. I was completely surprised. I love the Momo Cafe‘s décor. The place had a vibe and atmosphere. So I felt better.
With some help from the very well informed the staff, I de-coded the menu.
I ordered a Duck Char Siew with wok fried chow mein noodles. OMG the duck just fell off the bone and it was GLORIOUS I tell you.
I also loved the way it was styled, with all the bits and pieces placed around the plate like an artwork.
Char siew (also spelled chasu, cha siu, chashao, and char siu), otherwise known as barbecued meat (usually pork). In Indonesia where the Hokkien dialect is predominant, it’s known as Chasio and the halal Chasio will be using chicken or duck.
Then I sat back to have a glass of ginger ale and a chit chat with the staff.
I was completely surprised by Momo Cafe. It was nothing like I imagined, and so much better. The food we ate was fresh, light, tasty and delicious.
I enjoyed the meal. I left feeling really good that I didn’t over-stuff ourselves and my overall experience.
I will definitely be back!
Now it’s your turn. Whether it’s a restaurant you pass by regularly and just can’t resist, or one you visited only once on a fondly remembered vacation in Bali or elsewhere, where have you found the Bali’s best Duck Char Siew?
