A Winter Swim In Sorrento Back Beach, Australia

Thetraveljunkie.org – Today, we bring you to exercise to Sorrento Back Beach on Mornington Peninsula, Australia. We decided to take a walk on the beach in the afternoon and we found this little rock pool for a winter swim in the ocean. We weren’t planning to swim, but when we saw the water, we were struck with spontaneous craziness, stripped off and jumped in. It was very icy. We always feel really great after a swim in the ocean.

Swimming in winter cold water has a number of health benefits including boosting our immune system, improving circulation, burning calories, and reducing stress.

But winter swimming can be extremely dangerous. Each person reacts differently, depending upon how acclimatised they are to the cold and their body fat ratio.

Winter swimming tips:
01). Always swim with someone else.
02). Never dive into cold water, enter the water slowly.
03). Wear a swimming cap for insulation.

Then, we enjoyed the gorgeous sunset over the ocean. Blessed!

Wishing health and safety to you all during these extraordinary times.
