Thetraveljunkie.org – Today I remember my visit to the gorgeous Drottningholm Palace in Sweden some weeks ago. It was wonderful to get lost in such surroundings, it totally takes you to back in time to live Miss Julie movie. In these pictures we show you a dining cruises to Drottningholm. Have a nice day!

Go on a spectacular evening cruise in Lake Mälaren to the World Heritage and home to the Royal Family of Sweden, Drottningholm Palace. Enjoyed a meal and a glass of wine in this historic setting while passing several cobs and islands on my way. With the beautifully refurbished ship M/S Prins Carl Philip, built in the beginning of the last century and named after our prince of Sweden Prince Carl Philip. The ship was built in 1901 to sail in Lake Mälaren. In the late 1970s the ship was totally refurbished and in 1981 it was reinstalled on the waters of Lake Mälaren with the name Prins Carl Philip. Since then many guests have enjoyed dinners, christmas cruises and summer lunches to Drottningholm.

The food onboard is of the highest class; the chef use fresh produce, delivered every morning and cooked onboard to order. Lake Mälaren Dinner menu: 01). Sliced pork fillet with salad, ginger, chili, garlic, creme cheese & basil; 02). Cod fillet with potatoes, tomato terrine, herb tossed prawns & salsa verde; and 03). Apple and hazelnut cake with whipped vanilla cream.

A true memory for life!

Stay tuned for my adventures in Stockholm.
