Exploring the National Library of Sweden

Thetraveljunkie.org – Stockholm is a lovly city to explore. We have never been to a place like the National Library of Sweden (Kongliga Biblioteket), in Humlegården Park, has been collecting virtually everything printed in Sweden or in Swedish since 1661. They also collect TV and radio programs, movies and videos distributed in Sweden, Swedish music and computer games. Their collection consists of 18 million objects and close to 10 million hours of audio and video!

Their responsibility is making all of this material available to the public, meaning that they offer people the opportunity to read and study everything printed or published in Sweden here. It’s a thousand light years from any place we’ve ever seen.
