One of my favourite West Java meals is Lontong Kare with Chicken shredded.
I absolutely love Lontong (rice-cake) Kare (curry).
I love it lightly cooked with a bit of salt, coconut milk and cracked pepper. I love it mixed with soy sauce and kerupuk. I love it crumbed with sundanese herbs. I love it mixed with Indonesian spices.
But most of all, I love my lontong kare, and Chicken shredded coated with dukkah (a blend of nuts, seeds, and spices).
