Traveljunkieindonesia.com – It’s a chilly Winter’s day and I’m running late for a special dinner with my friend, Destination NSW, Tourism Australia, and Garuda Indonesia.
My life is really so much based in Seafood. And, I find that there is always something new and amazing to learn – I love it!
As the name implies, seafood is the drawcard here. This restaurant is ideally located at Cockle Bay Wharf, just moments from the city centre.
The harvest of rivers and oceans are on the menu with an emphasis on simplicity and flavour, from succulent oysters and chargrilled fish to bountiful seafood platters.
I scope the restaurant. It feels brisk and modern, utilitarian and unfussy in design, and professional but relaxed.
The first dish is freshly baked dinner rolls. it’s such an inspired combination of flavours and textures.
The next dish is my favourite, all about the seafood and it’s so good I’m going to call it now, Nick’s Seafood Platter; whole fresh lobster, generous portion of king prawns, blue swimmer crab, sydney rock oysters, steamed mussels, smoked salmon, catch of the day, fried king prawns, and baby calamari are such a killer combination. Mains served with garden salad to share. Nom nom nom. I really enjoyed. FANTASTIC!
Go to Nick’s Seafood as soon as possible and order this dish.
After lingering to catch up on our news we head out into the cool air, feeling up to anything. The dinner has been a tonic for us and we’re feeling revitalised and refreshed.
Actually, I think Nick’s might just qualify for seafood lovers. Try it and tell me what you think.
