Party Hard at Gadjah Wong Restaurant, Yogyakarta

a party hard scene. | taken with Sony NEX-7 – Hi travel junkies! I was able to experience a party hard at Gadjah Wong Restaurant, Yogyakarta.

It was very, very popular. I’ve read so many positive and negative reviews about this place, I thought it was a good opportunity to check it out with them.

The restaurant was nice, east meet west. We sat at the Kura-Kura Room – presents a more traditional atmosphere where travel junkies are accompanied by gamelan ensemble and Javanese decoration.

As we sat waiting for our food, the soft and soothing gamelan tune made for a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere.

The performers in traditional attire helped reinforce the Javanese setting. Waiters who came in to plate our order also wore traditional garments.

And, this is what I ordered.

Fresh fruit ice cream. IT WAS AMAZING!!

We walked away with full bellies and I felt like such a culinary rockstar.

I had such a great time! It was a really wonderful way to spend an evening.

I strongly, strongly recommend it.
