Remember the Joy of Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa, Tokyo – Japan

Traveljunkieindonesia.comGrand Prince Hotel Takanawa, in Tokyo, is only a 5-minute walk from Shinagawa station, the hotel boasts a spacious garden extending to 20,000m2. Lovely gardens with shrines and pond.

Perfectly located for business or pleasure, travel junkies can enjoy the beauty and tranquility of nature, even in the middle of the metropolis.

What was the hotel decor style? As I walked in, I was impressed with the decor and look and feel of the place. I felt like I was in a 90’s Japanese dorama.

How quick and efficient was the hotel check-in? This was very good. Very efficient and the service was fantastic.

Did I feel genuinely welcomed by the hotel staff? I thought the staff were absolutely fantastic.

Wifi – was I told anything about it? Was there a charge? Wifi was complementary throughout the hotel.

First impressions – décor, size and wow factor? my garden view twin room 1062 was very 90’s, simple and cozy.

I hadn’t a welcome amenity and a note from the GM.

The bed was very comfortable. So comfortable, that on the last night I decided to go back to the room early after dinner and watch TV in bed, which I never do.

Tea and coffee-making facilities? Yes, including a coffee maker. I did not try it.

Free bottled water? No.

Power sockets in useful places – we have more and more devices and we know where we want them! By the bed, by the working area. Oh yes, I had plenty of sockets on my side of the bed.

The bathroom was very classic and smart – spacious and had everything we needed.

We had a bath tub (with a fantastic shower) and worked very well. I was able to operate without third-party help. It is not always the case.

Towels – yes, please! How many and how soft and lovely? Yes, plenty and very good.

Toiletries – own brand, super brand, baby ones or proper ones? I shall find out! The toiletries were from Esthe Royer, originally from Japan, the products are lovely. The shampoo was nice.

Amenity kit – We had everything we needed.

Hairdryer – is it a human one, or just something stuck to a wall that only makes noise? I did not use it, but it seemed proper.

Breakfast – we had a delicious breakfast with great choices.

Would I recommend it to my best friend? Absolutely.

Would I stay again? Without a doubt.
