Thetraveljunkie.org – I recently had the pleasure of going on a staycation to Ridgemill Estate: Cabins in the Vineyard, located in Stanthorpe, in the Granite Belt wine region. We drove from Brisbane, enjoying the scenic route along the way. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff at Ridgemill Estate and checked into our cozy cabin, which was situated among the vineyards. The cabin had a private deck that offered stunning views of the vineyards and the countryside beyond. We immediately felt a sense of peace and relaxation wash over us.
During our stay, we had the opportunity to explore Girraween National Park, which was just a short drive away from the estate. The park was absolutely breathtaking, with towering granite boulders, crystal-clear creeks, and a wide variety of wildlife. We spent hours hiking through the park, soaking in the natural beauty all around us.
Another highlight of our stay was wine tasting at the local wineries. We visited several wineries in the Granite Belt region, each with its own unique selection of wines to try. We learned a lot about the winemaking process and discovered some new favorite wines.
One evening, we decided to head into Stanthorpe for dinner at Anna’s Italian Restaurant. The restaurant was cozy and inviting, with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. We enjoyed a delicious meal of homemade pasta and locally sourced ingredients, paired with a delicious glass of wine.
Overall, our staycation at Ridgemill Estate: Cabins in the Vineyard was the perfect way to unwind and connect with nature. We left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, with memories that we’ll treasure for years to come.
