Thetraveljunkie.org – We have already told you that the Jogja sunsets are probably what we miss most about the ocean. In today’s photos we spent in one of our favourite beaches, Wedi Ombo Beach in Gunungkidul, as best beach to watch sunset in Yogyakarta – amazing spot sunset view.
Most people think of temples, food and shopping in Jogja but there’s so many gorgeous natural spots to explore. Beaches, forests and waterfalls. Exploring these spots from The Kamasari has been a great delight.
Our first stop in the beach was at white sand where you can get lay down on Tesalate, sand-free and full of Aussie style beach towels. We bought coconuts. We readed a book. We then walked to a natural pool.
Our perfect afternoon can be summarised as: sunbathing, swimming and exploring. There is no beach in the Yogyakarta to be happier than at Wedi Ombo.
Stay tuned for more of our adventures in Yogyakarta.

Since you’re here…
… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading the Travel Junkie than ever but advertising revenues across the blog are falling fast. And unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our blogsm as open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. The Travel Junkie’s independent, travel blogsm takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.
If everyone who reads our blog posting, who likes it, helps to support it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as $5, you can support The Travel Junkie – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
