Swedish Culinary Classics at the Swedish Residence, Jakarta

Thetraveljunkie.org – A few weeks back, Johanna Brismar Skoog, Ambassador of Sweden to Indonesia invited me out to experience a truly original Swedish Smörgåsbord, exclusively prepared by Chef Lotta Lassesson from Cafe Smorgas in Bali and a relaxing and friendly FIKA with the award winning baker Elliot Davernas from Crematology Coffee Roaster.

However the food arrived quickly. Sweden’s best culinary treasure have always come from the forest and the sea. Here are some of the photos from my visit to learned about Swedish cuisine and lifestyle through an exclusive cooking demostration and tasting session of specialties such as salty licorice, gravlax, meatballs, toast skagen, moose sausage, smoked reindeer, kall inkokt lax, gravad lax, hjortronparfait,  lingoberries, kanelbullar and many many more!

Overall, I’d say that the lunch serves were nice and large, the food was delicious, tasty, fresh and homey. We were to enjoy a good FIKA and lovely atmosphere.

And now, I miss Sweden so much!
