Thetraveljunkie.org – I have visited Aomori in Japan recently for a discover Tohoku and my choice of hotel was the one and only Hotel Aomori. I had never stayed at Hotel Aomori before – and must confess, I was quite curious and was very surprised. Here is our stay went.
Was there any pre-arrival communication by the hotel with myself via email or social media? Yes. My stay had been planned months in advance, and we were quite well acquainted by the time I arrived at the hotel.
Has the hotel tried to gather any personal information (e.g. preferences) prior to my stay? I didn’t ask for anything, as I had no special needs.
Arrival
The wow factor! What was the hotel decor style? We had no trouble finding the hotel. We had an excellent (efficient and friendly) welcome by the doorman, who escorted us to the check-in area and took care of our luggage.
How quick and efficient was the hotel check-in? In true Japanese fashion, what could one expect? It was quick and very friendly.
Did I feel genuinely welcomed by the hotel staff? The staff was incredible to me, everyone that was in the hotel. Super helpful.
Wifi – was I told anything about it? Was there a charge? Wifi is complimentary and worked well during my stay.
Room Experience
First impressions – decor, size and wow factor? Our room was simple. Actually – the hotel decor was beautiful. Very understated, beautifully designed. I loved my room from the moment I walked to the window.
The bed was very comfortable. I love the pillows and the pajamas. Cannot fault it in any way.
There was a tea and coffee making facilities, which I did not use.
Power sockets in useful places – we have more and more devices and we know where we want them! By the bed, by the working area? Yes. All very well positioned and I used them all!
The bathroom was excellent and very nice.
Towels – yes, please! How many and how soft and lovely? No problem here.
Toiletries – own brand, super brand, baby ones or proper ones? I shall find out! The toiletries were from own brand, which are nice.
Amenity kit – We had everything we needed.
Hairdryer – is it a human one, or just something stuck to a wall that only makes noise? I did not use it on this occasion, but located the hairdryer which looked proper.
General Thoughts:
How good and reliable was the wifi? The wifi worked well. It was free of charge and fast, I must say.
Would I recommend it to my best friend? Without a doubt.
Would I stay again? Absolutely. I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel.
Have you visited this hotel? What were your thoughts?
A big thank you Japan National Tourism Organization, ANA, and my readers for following and supporting me on this journey!
