There are more than 250 Indigenous communities in WA, and around 16,000 people. So, here are top 10 Indigenous in WA.

1. Take an Indigenous Eco Discovery Tour with Kepa Kurl. Travel to WA’s southeast to Australia’s Whitest beach, Lucky Bay in Esperance and learn about the Aboriginal heritage of the area on an eco tour. Or, head north to Monkey Mia in World Heritage Shark Bay and learn about the with Aboriginal guide Darren ‘Capes’ Capewell from Wula Guda Nyinda.

2. Delve Into the Dreamtime at one of Perth’s most significant Indigenous locations. Take a Kings Park Indigenous Heritage Tour and learn the ways of the Wadjuk people, including bush medicine plants, traditional tools and ancient fire making methods.

5. Experience the Sights, sounds, tastes and country of the south west’s Noongar People. Taste bush tucker, learn bush medicine, meet the animals, plants and dreaming spirit and venture into Ngilgi cave.

6. Head to Home Valley Station for the Ultimate Australia Outback station Experience. Aboriginal owned and operated, with Indigenous staff and trainees, Home Valley Station is a 615,000 acre working cattle station, where adventures will encounter a combination of towering gorges, sparkling waterholes, rivers, billabongs, waterfalls and untouched beaches.

7. Head to the Kimberley to take part in an indigenous festival or tour. One of the world’s great natural and indigenous cultural regional, the Kimberley region of WA is home to the Mowanjum Festival near Derby Australia’s largest Indigenous festival featuring more than 100 artists. The annual Halls Creek Music Festival, Nguyuru Waaringarrem, bring together some of Australia’s finest Indigenous music talent, dancers and artists. 8. See One of the Richest Sites in the World for prehistoric rock Engravings.
