Traveljunkieindonesia.com – Hi travel junkies! This day, I bring you to visit the State Library of Victoria – Australia’s oldest public library and a beautiful heritage building located in the heart of Melbourne.
Free exhibitions line the balconies of the majestic domed reading room; take in the view while getting up close to Ned Kelly’s armour, Burke and Wills relics, a miniature library and a host of other treasures.
And, here’s what we felt:
In a good bookroom you feel in some mysterious way that you are absorbing the wisdom contained in all the books through your skin, without even opening them.” – Mark Twain.
Aaaaah… One of the world’s great libraries.
OMG! It was WONDERFUL!
Open daily from 10am. Free entry and wi-fi. Lockers available.
For more information, visit slv.vic.gov.au.
A big thank you Tourism Victoria, Tourism Australia, my readers, for following and supporting me on this journey!
