Walk Along the Fort Nepean

Thetraveljunkie.org – The last few days have been stunning. Bright blue skies and glowing sunshine. We soak up some vitamin D and we went for a walk along the Point Nepean National Park. Located at the very end of the peninsula. Just strolling and talking. It was very cool. Especially the history. Fort Nepean was a critical part of Victoria’s defences from the 1880s until 1945. The first shot of the British Empire in WWI and the first Australian shots of World War II were fired from Fort Nepean, earning its entry in military history. These battlements were modified and used right up until the end of World War II.

We were all so fascinated by the history and the science behind it. There is a nice information centre there, but there is no cafe.

I really do love all this outdoor walking under the Aussie big blue sky!

Stay tuned for more of our adventures in Victoria, Australia.
