Traveljunkieindonesia.com – Hi travel junkies! This is the meal I’ve been most looking forward to on our Makassar trip.

Rumah Makan (restaurant) Muda Mudi, Makassar – South Sulawesi is one of Makassar’s most awarded restaurants for the travel junkie.

I especially can’t wait to taste Muda Mudi’s Pisang Ijo (green banana) dessert. But let me start this story at the beginning.

Dian Onno and I are here for dinner part II, yes PART II! The dining room is simple and very warung without a view… but lucky to be here.

First, we ordered Jalangkote –  It the veggies and vermicelli, but tasty and has great chili sauce. It’s called Pastel in Java.

Second, what a wonderful Pisang Ijo – the bananas are a natural sweetness in the dressing by the green dough with the aroma of fragrant pandan leaf, mixed with a sauce made of coconut milk in a silky.

I loved pisang ijo too much baby! It’s got its own unique and interesting textures and tastes to discover. Wonderfully smooth and creamy!

After the spectacular pisang ijo, we ordered Pallu Butung. It’s similar with pisang ijo, but without the dressing by the green dough.  I especially enjoy the sweet of bananas and the melt-in-the-mouth coconut milk skin.

Overall, it’s been the most jaw-dropping dining experience, for so many reasons, some entirely unexpected.

It’s been an epic dinner; it’s after 9pm by the time we leave the restaurant. It’s been an amazing meal. The food was exquisite, intriguing, delicious and impeccably presented. The service was outstanding.

It feels like we’ve been in an extraordinary other world when we finally step out into the rain.

I think it’s fair to call our dinner part II at Muda Mudi a once in a lifetime experience. Have you had a restaurant dining experience you’d call “once in a lifetime”?
